This is my third pair of poplin shorts. I buy them because they are a nice length and a good cut. The fabric is lightweight & ideal for the hot summer months. If you want longevity though don't buy the poplin shorts, buy the shorts available in a different fabric. After one season, the poplin fabric looses its structure and doesn't sit as well. Its a catch 22 do you buy shorts that last better but are hotter to wear? I am hoping Vassalli eventually come up with a longer lasting fabric. I have included a photo showing the leg of an older pair with a new pair. Note the puckering around the band on the older pair.
